Case recognition

  • Bottom-layer white edge, white down

Move the white edge to the top layer

Build: bottom-layer white edge, white down

    180° face turn

The white edge is in the bottom layer with white facing down.

A full white sticker is visible on one bottom-layer edge.

Face the white edge and make sure the empty petal slot is at UF.

Turn that face 180°. The edge moves to the top layer with white facing up.

Turn the face 180° to flip the white edge from the bottom to the top.

  • Bottom-layer white edge, white down (direct)

    180° face turn

The empty petal slot is already at UF. Turn F2 to move the edge to UF with white facing up.

  • Bottom-layer white edge, white down (U adjust)

U adjust, then 180° face turn

The empty petal slot is not at UF. Use U / U' / U2 to make UF empty, then turn F2.

  • Bottom-layer white edge, side-facing

Move the side-facing bottom white edge to the top layer

    Build: bottom-layer white edge, side-facing

    Move out and insert

The white edge is in the bottom layer, but white faces a side.

White is visible on the side face, not on the bottom face.

Align the empty petal slot with UF.

Use F U L': move the edge out, clear the slot, then insert it into the top layer.

Move the side-facing white edge out first, then insert it into the top petal slot.

  • Bottom-layer white edge, side-facing (direct)

    Move out and insert

The empty petal slot is already at UF. Use F U L' to move the edge out and insert it.

  • Bottom-layer white edge, side-facing (U adjust)

U adjust, then move out and insert

The empty petal slot is not at UF. Use U first to clear UF, then use F U L'.

  • Middle-layer white edge

Move the middle-layer white edge to the top layer

    Build: middle-layer white edge

    Side turn insert

The white edge is in the middle layer.

A white sticker is visible on a middle-layer side edge.

Use the canonical FL position with the empty petal slot at UL.

Turn L' to move the edge from FL to UL with white facing up.

Turn the side face to insert the middle-layer white edge into the top layer.

  • Middle-layer white edge, front-facing (direct)

    Side turn insert

Edge at FL, white facing forward (+z). The empty petal slot is already at UL. Turn L' to send the edge from FL to UL with white facing up.

  • Middle-layer white edge, front-facing (U adjust)

U adjust, then side turn insert

Edge at FL, white facing forward (+z). The empty petal slot is not at UL. Use U first to clear UL, then turn L'.

  • Middle-layer white edge, side-facing (direct)

    Front turn insert

Edge at FL, white facing the left side (-x). The empty petal slot is already at UF. Turn F to push the edge from FL to UF with white facing up.

  • Middle-layer white edge, side-facing (U adjust)

U adjust, then front turn insert

Edge at FL, white facing the left side (-x). The empty petal slot is not at UF. Use U first to clear UF, then turn F to bring white up.

  • Top-layer white edge, side-facing

Flip the top-layer white edge so white faces up

    Build: top-layer white edge, side-facing

    Move out and reinsert

The white edge is already in the top layer, but white faces a side.

Near the yellow center, the white sticker is on a side face.

Face the side containing the white edge.

Move it out of the top layer, adjust U, then reinsert it with white facing up.

    Move out
