Case recognition

  • Bottom-layer misplaced white corner

    Take the {cornerShort} corner out and reinsert it into the {slotName} slot

    The white corner is in the bottom layer, but in the wrong position, or with white not facing down.

    A bottom-layer corner's side colors don't match the matching centers, or the white sticker isn't facing the bottom.

    See which slot the corner is stuck in and which way white faces, and get ready to lift it to the top layer first.

    A misplaced bottom-layer corner can't be fixed in place: first use one trigger to lift it out of the wrong slot to the top layer (the extract trigger is the one on the slot's own face), then follow the top-layer workflow — U-align and insert. Principle: a misplaced corner is wedged in the wrong slot, and turning it in place would scramble other pieces; only by lifting it up to the top-layer "workspace" first can you insert it back cleanly, just like a top-layer corner.

    Extract to top layer

    U-turn the corner to directly above the target slot, and get ready to do the 7-move formula.

    White-up can't be inserted in one go — a single trigger only flips white down when it faces a side, so it does nothing to a white-up corner. Use the 7-move formula R U2 R' U' R U R' (mirror: R' U2 R U R' U' R) instead. Principle: this sequence lifts the corner, reorients it, and drops it back down — equivalent to "lift → swing white to a side → trigger-insert" — and ends with white facing down and the corner in its slot.

    Turn U to move the corner directly above the target slot.

    Insert with 7-move formula

    Do R U2 R' U' R U R' (or the mirror) to flip white from up to down and drop the corner into its slot.

  • Top-layer white corner, white to a side

    White-to-side is the easiest case. After U-aligning to directly above the target slot, one trigger is enough: if white faces right do R U R', if it faces front do F' U' F. Principle: as the trigger does "lift → swing over the slot mouth → drop", it brings white from the side to facing down and the corner lands right in its slot — so one trigger is all you need, with no need to flip white up first.

  • Top-layer white corner, white right

    Build: top-layer white corner, white right

    The DFR corner is directly above the FR slot with white facing right (+x); U is already aligned. Just do one trigger: R U R'. Principle: the trigger lifts the corner, swings it over the slot mouth, and drops it; white swings from right to down and the corner lands in its slot — one trigger is all you need.

  • Top-layer white corner, white front

    Build: top-layer white corner, white front

    The DFR corner is directly above the FR slot with white facing front (+z); U is already aligned. Just do one trigger: F' U' F. The principle is the same as the white-right case, only lifted from the front face: the trigger swings white from front to down and the corner lands in its slot — one trigger is all you need.

  • Top-layer white corner, white up (direct)

    Build: top-layer white corner, white up (direct)

    The DFR corner is already directly above the FR slot with white facing up (+y). Just do the 7-move formula R U2 R' U' R U R'. Principle: white-up can't be flipped down by one trigger; this sequence lifts the corner, reorients it, and drops it back down, bringing white to facing down and the corner into its slot.

  • Top-layer white corner, white up (U adjust)

    Build: top-layer white corner, white up (U adjust)

    The DFR corner is in the top layer with white facing up (+y), but not directly above the FR slot. First U-turn it to directly above, then do the 7-move formula R U2 R' U' R U R'. Principle: the 7-move formula only flips the corner in accurately when it sits directly above the target slot, so U-align first, then insert.

  • Bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white front

    Build: bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white front

    The DFR corner is wedged in the FL slot with white facing front (+z). First use L' U' L to lift it to the top layer (the FL slot belongs to the left face, so only a left-face trigger can extract it), then U-align and insert into FR. Principle: a corner wedged in FL can't be lifted out with the right face; only the left-face L' U' L can cleanly return it to the top-layer workspace, after which you insert it back following the top-layer workflow.

  • Bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white right

    Build: bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white right

    The DFR corner is wedged in the BR slot with white facing right (+x). First use R' U' R to lift it to the top layer (the BR slot belongs to the right face, so a right-face trigger extracts it), then U-align and insert into FR. Principle: only by returning the wedged corner to the top-layer workspace first can you reinsert it like a top-layer corner.

  • Bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white down (right-hand side)

    Build: bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white down (right-hand side)

    The DFR corner is wedged in the BR slot (x>0, right-hand side) with white facing down. Use R' U' R to lift it to the top layer (white already faces down but the position is wrong, so it still has to be extracted first), then U-align and insert into FR. Principle: even when white already faces down, as long as the position is wrong it can't be turned in place — it must be lifted to the top layer first and reinserted.

  • Bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white down (left-hand side)

    Build: bottom-layer misplaced white corner, white down (left-hand side)

    The DFR corner is wedged in the FL slot (x<0, left-hand side) with white facing down. Use L' U' L to lift it to the top layer, then U-align and insert into FR. Principle as above: a misplaced corner must be lifted to the top-layer workspace first, then reinserted following the standard workflow.
